Laparoscopic Nissen procedure is the standard approach in the gastro-esophageal reflux disease. It consists in dissecting the abdominal and hiatal esophagus on a 7 cm length and making a 3600 stomach flap around the esophagus in order to restore the Hiss angle and to prevent the gastro-esophageal reflux. Laparoscopic approach in ventral hernia has the advantage of accurate dissection, entire parietal defect visualization, using the most technically advanced mesh products (which prevent adhesions between bowels and abdominal wall) with very low invasiveness. Minimally invasive access provides low postoperative pain, better comfort, fast recovery and the best cosmetic result.
Operative time: 120 min. Postoperative stay: 2 days.
